Donate to the Library?

How Do I Donate to the Library?

Thank you for thinking of us! All donations must be made at the front desk. Staff will determine whether the materials you would like to donate meet library needs at this time. If you wish to make a large donation (more than one medium-sized box), please call ahead of time to make an appointment.

At the discretion of Library Staff, donated materials may be added to our collection, given to other libraries or sold in our book sales.

Donations of Library Materials (Books, DVDs, etc).

We Accept:

  • Items in like-new condition
  • Print materials and media published in 2010 or later
  • Furnishings or equipment may be accepted if they fill a current library need
  • Supplies for current library programs (e.g. LEGO, jigsaw puzzles, supplies for our maker kit collection, etc.)
  • We will accept donations for our book sale two weeks prior to each sale (March, July, November). Only recent items in very good condition will be accepted for the book sale.

We Do Not Accept:

  • Materials in other than excellent condition
  • Textbooks and encyclopedias (these go out of date too quickly)
  • Published materials printed prior to 2010 (See above, exceptions may be made for rare materials in very good condition)
