Summer Programming Coordinator Job Description
The Summer Programming Assistant will use our summer program plan to develop, promote, and deliver fun and educational summer programming and services for children 4-11 years of age. They will also participate in outreach programming in the community, assist with day-to-day library tasks, and contribute to advance planning for fall programming. The position requires 30 hours per week.

Term: Approx. June 25 - August 24, 2018

Pay Rate: Based on candidate's education and experience


  • Strong organizational and communication skills, and a passion for fostering literacy, creativity, and a love of learning in children
  • Experience working with children in a leadership role is preferred
  • Must be between the ages of 15 and 30, have been enrolled as a full time student during the 2017-18 academic year, and plan to return to full time studies in the fall
  • Must be able to safely operate a bicycle and light trailer – possession of a bicycle in good repair is an asset
  • A Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check will be required of the successful candidate before commencement of work
