Every November people around the world set out to write the first draft of a novel in 50,000 words. Why?

1) It sets a clear time period to try something you might have thought about for years.

2) Giving yourself only a month to get your ideas on paper keeps you from getting stuck rewriting chapter one 43 times.

3) Lots of other people are writing in November, so you get to write with a community!

We'll be hosting four in-person events at the Library this year. Join us for one, two, or all four. Bring your project and preferred writing tools and we'll provide snacks, writing games, and a comfy place to write with friends.

To keep the events accessible for diverse writers, please consider wearing a mask if you're able and stay home if you feel sick. If you'd like to participate from home, let us know and we'll set up a zoom event!
