Our Children's Programming Internship is intended to provide Drumheller residents with opportunities for high value, real world skill building around their other responsibilities. The position involves one 4-hour evening shift/week during the school year, and two 4-hour shifts/week during the summer. Interns report to the Director of Library Services, and work with permanent library staff and Summer Discovery Program staff. The Children's Programming Intern will help to plan and deliver fun and educational programs, events, and services for children in kindergarten to grade 6. Internships last one year, and interns may apply for a second term.

Library volunteers may contribute in a variety of ways, from shelving books and tending plants to helping with program preparations and teaching classes. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old, and submit a complete volunteer application form, available for download below, or in person at the Library.
