Library Membership

How Do I Get a Membership?

A valid Public Library account is required to borrow Library materials, to use TRACpac or order or renew items, or to access licensed e-resources from home. The Drumheller Public Library now offers FREE library cards to all local residents. Join the Library today!

Who is Eligible?

Anyone residing within an area belonging to the Marigold Library system is eligible to obtain a resident Library card. Temporary visitors (<3 months) can also join the Library with a deposit of $40. This deposit will be returned to the patron after all materials are returned and any fines paid.

Parents and guardians assume responsibility for items borrowed by their minor children. Parents or guardians are required to sign a Statement of Responsibility at the time of registration for children aged 17 and under.

What Identification do I Need?

You will need to bring personal identification showing your legal name and current address to apply for a library account. A parent or guardian must provide ID when registering a dependent minor for a library card.

Examples of preferred identification include:
A valid driver's license
Any piece of personal identification combined with proof of address (e.g. utility bill, phone bill or local tax assessment).

Note: Replacement cards are $3.00 per card. Report lost cards immediately as you are responsible for any materials borrowed on your card.
