Library Collection

The Library has more than just books!

Things you can borrow

We have Fiction and Non-Fiction books for adults, youth, and children, including large print books, audiobooks, paperbacks, graphic novels, picture books, board books, and magazines. Drumheller Library is part of the Marigold Regional Library System and The Regional Automation Consortium (which combines Marigold library collections with those of three other Alberta library systems), so if we don't have something here, we can request it from libraries all across Alberta!

Other great things you can borrow:

Check out our Library of Things corner for all types of non-book things you can borrow!

Library members also have access to a wide array of eResources that provide access to downloadable and streaming eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, graphic novels, movies, homework help, video workshops, and so much more.

Things you can use at the Library

We have a microfilm reader and an archive of microfilmed local newspapers back to 1914, with birth, death, and marriage indexes to help you find what you're looking for. Our archive also includes photos, newspaper clippings, yearbooks, history books, and pamphlets. Please ask for assistance at the front desk if you're interested in looking at something in this collection.

Other great things you can use in the library:

  • Maker kits for in-house use
  • Musical instruments (current instruments available are ukuleles, an electric guitar, an acoustic guitar, a violin, an electric piano (non-circulating), and tuners)
  • Puzzles
  • Board games
  • LEGO® and duplo®

Our children's corner also has some great toys and activities for kids. There's a puppet theater with puppets, toy cars with road rug, a dollhouse and farm toys, puzzles, colouring pages with crayons, and building blocks.
